Suzanne Goodman -  Instructor

Suzanne Goodman is originally from Greenville, SC. Suzanne attended the Greenville County Fine Arts Center and Grenville High School. After high school, Suzanne went on to earn her BA in Dance from UNC Charlotte. While in college, she was President of Dance Ensemble and Fine Arts Chair for University Program Board. In addition to college training, Suzanne has studied in NYC and with numerous master teachers from across the United States and Canada. Suzanne has taught dance in the public schools for Spartanburg District Three, served as guest artist at Converse College, and guest teacher at studios across the Southeast. Suzanne owned and operated her own dance studio, Foothills Dance Arts, for nineteen years. She is an active member of Southern Council of Dance Masters where she serves as Treasurer and Membership Chair. With SCDM, Suzanne is a Nationally Certified Examiner in the areas of ballet, modern, tap, jazz, and acrobatics. Her students have gone on to further their studies at; SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, Converse College, Columbia College, Winthrop University, College of Charleston, Alvin Ailey’s BA with Fordham University, Coker College, and USC. Professionally her students have danced with Oklahoma City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Caroline Calouche Aerial Company, and the Rockettes. Other students have performed with local and regional dance and theatre companies. Suzanne’s choreography has won regional and national awards. In 2018, Suzanne was named Teacher of the Year with Dance Machine Productions. She has had numerous chapter title holders with SCDM and national title holders with Dance Machine Productions. Suzanne’s enjoys the recognition but her goal as a dance educator is “to inspire a life-long love and appreciation for the art of dance”. Suzanne is married with three children who all dance – Ethan 29, Madeline 25, and Lillian 14.
